Dashboard and widget management
The Dashboard management view provide a centralized overview of both predefined and custom dashboard and widget templates.
Dashboard and widget management offers the following functionalities:
-
Integrated (predefined) dashboards are only available in read-only mode. Custom (user-defined) dashboards can be fully edited - this includes creating, changing and deleting them.
-
Custom dashboards can be freely customized with existing or personal widgets and can be added to the collection of dashboards that are available to all users.
-
Users can adjust their dashboard tabs flexibly: Tabs can be easily added, removed and rearranged. All tabs - with the exception of custom dashboards - are references (links) and cannot be changed directly. All tabs - with the exception of custom dashboards - are references (links) and cannot be changed directly.
-
To be able to control their usage more precisely, specific dashboards can now be assigned to individual roles. This means that users automatically get the dashboards they need for their tasks, depending on their role.
Examples for different role requirements:
-
Administrators require dashboards to manage policies, maintain roles or monitor systems.
-
Helpdesk staff need quick access to functions such as temporarily unlocking drives, carrying out remote measures or analyzing events on individual clients.
-
Information security officers (CISO) need an overview of the security situation, relevant activities over time or central reports.
With this new assignment logic, dashboards can be specifically adapted to the respective work areas and made available automatically.
